Charlie Schuck works as a still and motion photographer. Growing up on an island in the Pacific Northwest, he developed a deep reverence for the natural world and its various qualities of light. In his formative years, while studying photography, he began documenting the industrial design projects of friends and roommates. What started as an informal observation became foundational to his visual development, shaping a sensibility grounded in attentiveness to form, function, and intention, as well as an ongoing inquiry into how objects communicate imagination and meaning. Formally trained in traditional film and digital studio techniques, Charlie’s practice continues to evolve through the incorporation of emerging technologies, including video capture, aerial drones, and artificial intelligence. He often combines these tools in unconventional ways to expand the expressive possibilities of new media. With an abundance of ideas and a sustained interest in design, history, and display, his work has led to numerous curatorial and cross-disciplinary collaborations with museums, galleries, companies, and private clients.
